Travelers' Rest
Well I was a weary traveler; I had nowhere to go; and I looked around
this old world. And I saw all the waste; and I saw all the haste; and I
wondered why; and I studied philosophy.
But I turned to an old scripture; and it showed me what was; and it showed me what is to be. Like a beacon in a troubled sea. . . we will be,
for you and for me. . . and He showed me the plan. . . and He showed me
who I am. . . and now I’m doing all that I can. And I raise my hands in the
morning, and I do a day’s work while I dream. . . and I raise my hands in the evening, and I sing out those dreams loud and clean:
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia: Christ is risen; and He shall reign forever; and he shall reign forever. . . and ever. . . and ever. . .
