Precious Nation

Freedom riders, under the sun, how were we to know, you would be the one to show us we were blinded, to show us we were wrong how weak was the Constitution we were standing upon! Now there’s political warfare, law and order breaking down. We either have freedom or we have contention and there’s very little neutral ground. The enemy is political, howbeit we are deceived when Liberty’s in our hearts and we still don’t relieve. Shine our light; shine our light of Liberty. None of us can make it on our own We’re a little to stubborn to change our tone. Our so-called peace has fallen under a spell when insurrectionists look us squarely in the eye and they say: well, all is well! Can they imagine the trouble that will come from on high when citizens beg courts for justice, but instead get immunity’s cry! Citizens let me tell you about a a Congress they abhorred They were trampling through the Capitol
where the grapes of wrath are stored They were yelling about their leader’s loss They were attacking our Congress for their boss Shine our light; shine our light of Liberty. But none of us can make it on our own We’re a little to stubborn to change our tone. Precious nation, believe me when I say What the founders have given us, no man ought take away. We are covered in stripes, y’all, of red, white and blue Our forefathers preserved our unity, one nation, that’s true. We have no king, y’all; we ran him off in 1781 We still have the lamp of Liberty when its all said and done. Although there was violence in the Capitol halls Let us not be deceived, on the way back to Justice, y’all. On the way past the insurrectionists’ tort. to the judgement hall of our high court. Thanks to bro’ Bob for this slow gained inspiration. Glass half-Full
