Musing in Autumn

When the browns, reds and golds of autumn lie in the gutter, dead,
Remember then, sprouts of spring; they had come. . . to witness Spring’s new hope, born of leaves decaying.
“As new life will come with living, Love will come with the living, and giving, without measure, yields, in return, the wondrous yearn for peace, almost seen. . . Walk hand in hand, and together we’ll stand on the the threshold of a dream . . .”
and going even further back in our boomer earlier place and time, Martin Luther King had spoken the words of Hope:
“I have a dream. . .”I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed:”
“We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”
These memories of an aging baby boomer, gathered in the gutter of remembrance. Remember then, sprouts of spring; they had come. . . “to Witness Spring’s new hope, born of leaves decaying. As new life will come with living, Love will come with the living, and giving, without measure, yields, in return, the wondrous yearn for peace, almost seen. . . Walk hand in hand, and together we’ll stand. . . on the the threshold of a dream.”
