The Mystery of History

Now I don't know but I been told this world is very old.

The old Book from which I have gathered most of my information depicts a world - and its inhabitants - that goes way, way back in time. The biblical account that is given in our foundational book has turned out to be, as Providence would have it, the basis for cultural development, knowledge procurement and a very long, foundational story for the entire western world. Middle Eastern, North African, European culture and histories are founded upon ancient glyphs and and manuscripts. We revere some of them as holy writ, canonical Scriptures. . . from Moses to the prophets and apostles and beyond . . . alongside the Greek poets and philosophers, who accompany Moses, Jesus, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Paul . . . to Constantine, Augustine, even Mohammed … to and through the long papyrus scrolls and papers that document the histories of emperores, kings and queens, philosophers, priests, preachers, scholars, teachers, scientists and politicians who systemized Indo-European governance, and educated literate people. . . calculated engineering that morphed progressively in the myriad forms of cultural development and property descriptions, leaving a cultural and societal legacy several millennia long.

For us in the Judeo/Christian world, that old Bible is the primary source, the heart and soul of it, the fountain of wisdom, literacy, morality and history. . . the source of all we know and believe about our ancestors since Abraham, and Moses, the prophets, the One who conquered our ancient foe, death itself, by His Resurrection. Yes, and Amen. . . especially the One, Yeshua ha Meschiach, whose amazing work, teaching and Conquest of death was reported in the New Testament, which became, or should have become, the greatest event in history.

 As a person who has lived on this planet for 74 years, I can testify that I have probably, statistically, traveled more years along this path that we call Life. . . than my years ahead, which I have yet to experience. That is why I am believing in the One who conquered death, to delivery me into that eternal realm, beyond this world, where He is, and has reigned since the beginning of Time. . . and even before that, all eterntiy!  Furthermore, in my humble opinion, this is why we call everything that preceded Jesus, and every moment since then. . .that greatest story ever told. . . that ancient legacy. . . "history" HIStory. Just sayin. Glass half-Full
